Short story 1: Wish you happiness

The first time they met, there was no intention to know each other. Each of them had its own thing to do. However, due to his status as her senior, force her to know him. With all the unexpected incident and coincident, they fall in love. David is a simple man, good looking, and always have the sweetest smile on his face. Because of his friendliness, they become so close and there is no secrets between them. Yes, those two love birds; David and Sarah

The love between David and Sarah have been 5 years now. All the sweet moments become fade day by day. She changed. She become more demanding and always think that she is the one who right. They said jealousy  is sign of love but for David, the overreact jealousy just cause wound in their heart and hurt each other. Their relationship was like a ship ready to sink. He still love her but the situation does not in his favor. He really regret with their current relationship .

As for Sarah, she is sick for being jealous all the time. She know that David is a very friendly man. He didn't even realize those girls is trying to seduce him. He keep being friendly to them and that make her furious. Maybe it is time to put an end to all this thing. She is determined. He is to good for her. It's about time to let him  go. Even though she love him with all her heart, but her heart can't bear with it anymore. It's to tiring.

That night, Sarah ask David out for a diner. He pick her up as she requested.

" Now, where are we going? " he ask as soon she enter his car.

After fasten her seat belt, she said..

" We go to the park with a fountain at the City Center first. There is something I want to tell you. "

' Something to talk about? That sound serious.' There is uneasy feeling tingling inside him.

" Okay. " he replied then drove his car.

They reach at the park safely. She sit at a bench near the fountain. The fountain is so beautiful. She nearly cry when thinking about what will happen after this. She didn't really want it to end, but something must be done before it getting worse. David came and sit next to her after bought some drink and chips.

" So, what is it to talk about? " he ask.

Sarah didn't respond. She just keep staring at him. It's hard for her to let him go and she also tired of everything. She only think that maybe to end this relation is the best resolution. David is drinking leisurely with a calm face of his. Sarah thought, maybe this is the last time she will see his face like in that state. After she gather all her strength, she say..

" David, I love you with all my heart. I do. I'm thankful for all those sweet memories you had gave me. Maybe 5 years is a long time for us, and maybe we were not meant for each other. You're to good for me, David. At the moment you came into my life it was too hard to believe its true, but I just go along with it because I had feeling for you. I thought that our love will end up to marriage, but.."

" Woo..woo..woo.. Stop right there! What are you mumbling about?? I don't understand. The whole of it. What are you trying to say?? "

" Let's break up, David. " she finally said it.

The cup of drink that he hold slip between his hand. David was to shocked when he heard that, and it come out from the mouth of a girl he love! How can it turned out like this? He never expect that this will happen. 

" WHAT??!!! You can't be serious, right? I love you. I'm sorry for all those fight that we were in before. Please take back what you had said just now. TAKE IT BACK!! " he said half shout.

" David, we break up peacefully, okay? I love you. I do love you. I sincerely love you all this time. Those feelings for you are real. All of it. Lately, we often arguing with little things. I know that I've been overreact, but I can't help it. I'm just too jealous to see those bitch hanging around you. I'm heart broken. Sorry David. This is the far as I can go. Good bye.." she said what she had to, and left him alone in the cool night breeze. Tears flowing out from both eyes as the night witness the separation of two heart.

Another day have shine. It have been a month since the sad history happened. Sarah go to work as usual. She wake up early and wait for a bus at the bus stop.

" Hey! Did you know that the famous singer David Cullen had broke up with his girlfriend recently? They said that a song from his new album was created by him self for his ex-girlfriend! " said a school girl who sit next to her.

" Really? Oh that is to bad. I thought that they could end up together. Married. By the way, its sweet though. He write a song for her. It is lucky to have a singer as your boyfriend, huh? " said a girl sit next to the school girl. Probably her friend from the same school cause they wear the same uniform.

" Nah... I know that they would not last forever. She just not suited for him. She just a commoner while he is a well known singer. They just can't be together. "

" What are you talking about. That is not a good thing to say. We as his fan must support him in every way. not saying something like that! "

" I do support him. I support his decision for broke up with her. She's not that pretty at all. "

" Urgh! Its up to you then. If I keep arguing about this, we'll end up fighting again. So, did you already hear that song? "

" What song? "

" Are you stupid or just annoying me?  The song that he wrote for her! "

" Oh! Hehe.. Don't be too harsh. I'm just joking. I have it in my iPod. Want to hear? "

The conversation between the two girls end up when they listen to the iPod together. Yes, Sarah know about it. She enduring with all those critics like those conversation as soon as the news about her relationship with David spread out. She always be the first who got his album. He gave it to her  when they were together. Now, not anymore. Everything has changed. She also must move on. After all, she is the one who ask for it. As she far away think about what had happened, the bus came.

" Okay, were going on air in 5, 4, 3, 2..." said one of the staff boy.

" Good morning. I'm Sarah Winderland and this is the headline news..."

" 5 minutes break! " said the director.

After the short break, Sarah continue her work as the news reader. In the middle of her news reading, she have been given a shocking news from the director.

" Sorry for interrupting. This is the new shocking news. The famous talented ballad singer, David Cullen was died..." she stop.

" Sarah, what are you doing? We are going live here. Say something. What's wrong with you?? " the director said in whisper.

The director order the staff boy to make a advertisement for a while. He don't understand what is happening to his best news reader. ' Why is she crying? ' he keep thinking to him self.

Sarah can't believe it her self. How could this be happening? ' Tell me that this is just a dream. ' She wipe her tears and move out. Something must be done!

" Hey, Sarah! Where are you going??! " the director shout but was ignored by Sarah.

Lucky for her, there is a taxi waiting for a customer.

" Sir, to the JK Hospital please. I'm in a hurry. "

" Yes, Miss. "

She reach at the JK Hospital. Her heart beating so fast that she felt it will drop out from her body anytime soon. There is so many crowd out side the hospital building. It seems like all David's fans. She make it through the nurse counter.

" Yes, Miss. What can I help you with? " said the nurse at the counter with a smile.

Sarah speechless. She suddenly think of something. ' How should I ask? I'm not his family member. I can't lie. I'm no longer his girlfriend. Oh my, what should I do??! '. Sarah start to cry.

" Miss? " ask the nurse worried.

Sarah just walk with tears flowing on her face. She really can't do anything right now. It feels like just yesterday she know David. Like just yesterday they had a fight. She really regret it. About all the broke up thing. She sit on a bench at the hospital lawn. Crying and keep crying. She just can't help her self to stop crying. All those sweet and sad moments while she with him playing in his head like a playback scene.

Suddenly, her cellphone ringing.

" Hello, is this Miss Sarah Winderland? "said the voice.

" Yes, its me " Sarah replied, in her sobs.

" I'm Arthur Jonhson, Mr. David Cullen's trusted friend. Can we meet? "

" Sure. " without thinking, she said yes.

" Well then, I'll be waiting for you at CJ Entertainment company. "

At the CJ Entertainment building, where David work, she enter. Many thought wonder in her head at that time. ' What is David'd friend want from me? ' ' Why did he want to see me? ' ' How did he know my number? '

She keep wondering until she reach the room where Arthur waits. She knock the door.

" Come in. "

" Hi, I'm Sarah Winderland. The girl you called? "

" Yes, I know. Please, have a sit. "

He pull the chair for her.

" Thanks. "

" You are pretty as I've been told. "

' Wow, she looks miserable enough. It must be a big blow for her. Poor girl. ' he thought.

Sarah just smile with the compliment.

" I have something to give you. "

Arthur passed an A4 sized envelope to Sarah.

" David gave this to me to pass it to you. He look like he know what will happen to him. I'm sorry for your lost. I know you still love him. He also love you until his last breath. "

Tears start to flowing again on Sarah face.

" Sorry. I just can't help it. " said Sarah while wiping her tears.

" It's okay. I'll leave you alone. Take your time. " he said the move out after tap her shoulder.

After Arthur went out, Sarah start to cry heavily. She keep crying for awhile. Then she slowly stop after remembered about the envelope. She open the envelope and find out it was a CD with 'Wish You Happiness' written on it. Along with a CD, there is a long blue-velvet box. She open the box, there is a nice gold bracelet and her name engraved on it with white diamond . For a thousand time that day, her tears flow out with out her permission. There is a little card in it, says "I love you and always will.".

In that room, there is a CD player. She play it. She thought that the CD only contain songs, but she's wrong. It's a video. There is David singing with his keyboard. That one special song he wrote for her. His last song..

I don't know how to forget you and start a new life; we've been together for so long

I'm sorry for that.

Please stop saying that you loved me

That would make me look even worse

I can't live without you, I need you

Come back to me, do not leave me alone

Please..

I still remember you told me "we'll be together forever"

but you don't need to find any excuses if you decide to leave

I wish you happiness, happier than me..

Sarah wear a black dress, a black hat with a white ribbon, and a black sun glass. She wear the bracelet that David gave her. She never open it from her wrist. Not even once. After the funeral ceremony ends, she go near to David grave. With a bouquet of white roses in her hands, she stand there, beside his grave. Without she even realize, a drop of tears flowing down from her eyes, to her check and ens up at her chin. And it keep flowing. She bend a little to put the roses at David's tombstone. 

" I'm sorry for making you suffer until your last breath. There's no one can replace you in my heart. I love you too, and always will.. "

David is standing in front of her, but she can't see him. After all, David is no longer in her world. With a bright smile as always, he said..

" Please don't cry my love. I'll always by your side to protect you. I wish for your happiness, even if its not with me. Be happy, cause that will make me happy too. Good bye.. "
